Cambridge Architectural Brings Mesh to Canada at Greenbuild 2011

Exhibit Will Highlight Sustainability and Design of New-to-Market Metal Fabric

Sept. 28, 2011 - PRLog -- CAMBRIDGE, MD… Cambridge Architectural, the world’s most experienced – and only – full-service provider of sustainable architectural mesh systems, will further acquaint its products and building solutions with the Canadian market at the 2011 Greenbuild International Conference and Expo in Toronto, Ontario, October 4-7, 2011.

The largest city in Canada, Toronto prides itself on being one of the most progressive cities in North America. As a result, Greenbuild 2011 – the world’s largest conference and expo dedicated to green building – comes to the city this year. Cambridge Architectural comes with it, showcasing its latest architectural mesh systems, their sustainable advantages and how Cambridge as a company encourages and maintains eco-friendly operations.

“As Greenbuild has increased in popularity, so has its standing in not just the building and construction market, but in innumerable other sectors of society as well,” says Larry Windsor, General Manager of Cambridge Architectural. “We work with architects, contractors, engineers and facility managers, so naturally this is a perfect place for us to be. But the global scope of the event means so much more. Sustainable construction, and ultimately living, is the key issue – one that now goes far beyond the architectural and building professional category, and one that is of utmost importance to us.”

Cambridge’s display at Greenbuild 2011 will focus on exactly what their products and processes contribute to green building. Visitors will learn why architectural mesh is sustainable by its very nature, how architects can achieve significant green benefits from Cambridge architectural mesh systems, and how Cambridge is committed to reducing its own impact on the environment.

Cambridge welcomes architects and other building design and construction professionals to visit Booth #1736N to discuss the specifics of architectural mesh, its capabilities, and most importantly, why it is a green building material.

Cambridge’s architectural mesh systems boast many sustainable properties, all of which will be detailed at Greenbuild 2011. From solar shading (and resulting solar heat gain reduction) to daylighting, reduced HVAC requirements and light pollution reduction, Cambridge’s metal fabric systems offer a wide range of solutions for smart buildings. Mesh itself is readily recyclable and manufactured from recycled materials. It can be mounted to existing building structures with minimal support, it can provide airflow into a building while shading, and it has a virtually maintenance-free and indestructible lifecycle.

Cambridge Architectural is an active member of the USGBC, and helps architects take maximum advantage of LEED credit through the many categories in which architectural mesh systems apply.  Most notably, mesh can contribute to as many as four LEED points for optimized energy performance, and can help in acquiring additional points for incorporating recycled content and reducing glare into the regularly occupied areas of a building as a contribution to daylighting and views credits.

The USGBC’s 2011 Greenbuild International Conference and Expo, Greenbuild NEXT, focuses on the future of sustainable construction. In fact, the USGBC is encouraging its followers to send videos of what they think will be the “next” big thing in green building, with winners being featured at the conference. For the first time ever, Greenbuild is taking place outside the United States, in Toronto, Ontario – one of the most forward-thinking cities in North America, and quite possibly the world.

All are invited to visit Cambridge Architectural at Booth #1736N anytime during the three-day event. Also, visit www.cambridgearchitectural.com to learn more about Cambridge prior to the show. Cambridge’s architectural mesh systems are still primarily custom-built, and Cambridge remains open to architect ideas, engineering unique designs and one-of-a-kind building elements.
