SWAP YOUR COSTUME, CELEBRATE GREEN, SAVE MONEY

Anoka, MN September 28th - Family Friendly website Macaroni Kid Maple Grove/Champlin/Brooklyn Park, Coon Rapids/ Blaine/ Andover and Anoka/St. Francis are partnering with local businesses to bring The Macaroni Kid Family Fun Day & Costume Swap event to the area! Through the efforts of a grassroots, non-profit known as Green Halloween®, families in the area are being invited to take a greener approach to Halloween.



Macaroni Kid Family Fun Day & Costume Swap is sure to be convenient for parents and fun for the kids. According to Cheri Kotenbeutel, Editor of Maple Grove Macaroni Kid, "A costume swap is recycling at its most fun. Kids get new-to-them costumes, and parents get to save money and the planet."  This is an afternoon full of Costume Swapping, Games, Activities, Door Prizes, Shopping and More!  Something as simple as a costume swap does make a difference. "It may seem like a small thing," said Michelle Elliott, Publisher of Macaroni Kid Coon Rapids, "But this event is about bringing community together, raising awareness, and showing our children a better way to celebrate."

Anytime between now and October 6th Participants are encouraged to drop off swap-able costumes during business hours at one of the following locations:

In exchange for costume(s) you will be given a Swap Ticket to be brought back for the event on October 9th from 1:00pm to 3:30 pm at Anoka Middle School | 1523 5th Ave. S. | Anoka

Swap participants can also expect a few goodies from Febreze, Macaroni Kid and other Local Businesses too.
