DMi Partners’ Lead Developer to Speak at 2011 NYC and Philly.NET Code Camps

Sept. 28, 2011 - PRLog -- Travis Laborde, head of the PhillyNJ.NET user-group and Lead Developer at DMi Partners, will be a featured speaker at both NYC and Philly.NET Code Camps this fall. The camps, which provide a free day of training for developers in the community, will be held on October 1 and October 15, respectively.

“These Code Camp events are just an unbelievable value – for free. Any developer that cares about improving skills and advancing his or her career will want to attend,” Laborde said. “From a personal point of view, I’m very excited to be speaking on topics I’m passionate about. Laborde will be speaking at the NYC Code Camp, held at Pace University, for the first time this year, but has spoken previously at similar events in Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland and Connecticut. This year, Laborde’s 10-year-old son, Carter, will help present Laborde’s message, “NoSQL? No Way? Yes Way!,” as one of the youngest presenters in the history of Code Camp. The presentation will focus on the popularization of non-relational databases and the pros and cons for alternatives to SQL Server. He will also be explaining the positive results that DMi Partners has seen since adopting the use of these databases.
