The book explores the unique history of Carver County, an agrarian county that boasts one of the richest farmlands in the state of Minnesota. Many local farmers such as Andrew Peterson, Wendelin Grimm, and Henry Lyman became nationally recognized for their horticultural contributions and achievements.
The authors, local historians Ruth Tremblay and Lois Schulstad, hope that their contributions to history will spark others to document their family's history.
"I hope it will inspire readers to pull out their photographs, record the names of any individuals in the photograph, the date it was taken (even an approximate one), and the story of the photograph,"
