Promoting Ethical Medical Tourism

Increasingly, the patients are finding themselves in a big financial bind despite having a valid insurance coverage. This is forcing many patients to seek non traditional avenues like medical tourism.

PRLog - Sep. 26, 2011 - SAN CARLOS, Calif. -- Dublin, OH: The current recession have taken toll on many hard working people in and around the world. With the political will to reduce the entitlement programs, many are forced to seek their own health care policies. In general the medical insurance policies are expensive and one sees a constant reduction in benefits. This leads one to wonder, if it is really worth having the insurance policy to begin with.  Increasingly, the patients are finding themselves in a big financial bind despite having a valid insurance coverage.  Furthermore the uninsured population seems picking up. In countries with socialized medicine, the waiting times are disturbingly long. This is forcing many patients to seek non traditional avenues like medical tourism.

Since the medical tourism is vastly a unregulated business, we see all kinds of companies staging tall claims and trying to lure un suspecting and desperate patients. In general, even for a smart patient, the information he can gather is just what is posted by the medical tourism facilitator. This has resulted in the medical tourism tragedies that have been vastly publicized in the media.

“We are trying to change all that”- says Mr. Bob Talasila, the president of World Medical and Surgical LLC (http://www.worldmedicalandsurgical.com/ ). He continues-“ We are an ethical company managed by American healthcare professionals!  Not just marketing people. We place great importance on patient safety. Sometimes it is hard to do, because our clients are under a lot of false information. It is not their fault. They are just the victims of mis leading information. “ He explains that the best value in medical tourism can be achieved by playing it safe. Complications, although possible is not a preferred outcome. One life lost is too many.

“We want to be the best medical tourism company”- he declares. “ We know what is best for the patient and won’t do anything to harm the patient’s interests. We will help our clients every step of the way. Though bariatric surgeries and cosmetic surgeries  are major sources of business, we are highly engaged in complicated surgeries like cariac surgeries, neuro surgeries and organ transplantation. We will really take care of our patients. We will go above and beyond your expectations.”
