Sept. 26, 2011 - PRLog -- What better way to describe this beachfront-paradise state in Mexico other than to say it has a grand future and it´s SIMPLY PERFECT!

What makes Campeche so perfect for owning beachfront and calling it your second home?

IT´S CHEAP – These days, ocean-side lots selling for less than $59,900 is unheard of—anywhere. Mexico has been rapidly growing with expats (65 million baby boomers will retire in the next ten years), and beachfront properties have been bought up rapidly over the past 12 years. Basically, the demand for beachfront property has exceeded availability, meaning that areas that once offered lots for attainable prices, such as the Costa Maya, now sell for $250,000 and higher. In the Playa del Carmen and Tulum areas, vacant residential lots sell for $350,000 to $500,000, if you can find them. The investment curve has peaked.

Ask yourself, for comparison, what beachfront property in the USA or Canada sells for? How much are the annual property taxes? Now you can see what I discovered in Campeche. This is truly the last flicker of light: a place where you can still buy and own beachfront property for less than the cost of your SUV. Better still, you can know that your investment will soon match those in the Caribbean.  http://www.yucatanviews.com

SAFE – For those of you who are concerned about the safety in Campeche, DO NOT BELIEVE ALL YOU HEAR ON THE NEWS. Keep things in perspective. Mexico is a very large country, and Campeche is located 2,500 miles from where most of the news reports originate.

The statistics show that the highest rate of violence in Mexico is in northern Mexico, close to the U.S. border where smuggling occurs. In fact, the states with the lowest rates of violence are those that make up the Yucatán Peninsula in the Gulf of Mexico (Campeche and Yucatan). Their rate of violence is 2 per 100,000, which is a rate comparable to that of Wyoming and Montana.

Washington, D.C.'s rate of violence is nearly quadruple that of the Mexico´s capital, Mexico City. Washington's rate was 31.4 per 100,000 people in 2008; Mexico City's rate in 2009 was less than 8 per 100,000.

WARM – The water temperature of the Campeche Gulf is inviting all year round because of the prevailing ocean current (called the Yucatan current) that pulls in warm water from the equator and moves it north to the Gulf of Mexico, along the Yucatan Peninsula´s coast. When you personally test the water, you will be quite pleased, for Campeche´s waters average at 78°f (26°c) and stay warm even during the winter months.

BEAUTIFUL – They say beauty is in the eye of the beholder; however, when it comes to Mother Nature´s beauty, we can all come to the same conclusion, and Campeche has indeed been blessed by Mother Nature herself.

Geographically, Campeche is situated between the Gulf of Mexico to the North and the Guatemalan Mountain range to the south. This gives Campeche a diverse landscape that encompasses two worlds. Better still, unlike its neighboring states to the east (Yucatan and Quintana Roo), Campeche flows with fresh-water rivers, streams and waterfalls.

The landscape is mostly jungle with rolling hills that lead to impressive caves, canyons and cascades, and peppered throughout the state are numerous Mayan Ruins waiting to be explored. Campeche has been a rich land for many centuries for many cultures. The Mayans inhabited this land of natural beauty because of its abundance. Then arrived the Spanish conquistadors, who found beauty in the forms of the precious metals and logwood dye, and thus built formidable walled cities with forts, cobblestone streets, cathedrals and governor mansions.

BLUE – You will discover that the water is as blue as the Caribbean in front of your Turquoise Coast beachfront lot near Champotón, Campeche. I have found this particular area to have exceptionally clear water in the richest shades of blue in the entire Yucatan Peninsula. Other areas throughout the Peninsula are murky in appearance and gather a lot of sea grass, but here the conditions are just right to allow the natural blues to pop on a sunny day.

How better to end your perfect day than to lie in a hammock, gazing at the blue ocean, waiting for that moment before the twilight hours when you witness the spectacular sunsets that fold the sky´s warm, orange-red colors into the sea´s blue horizon? This can become an evening´s ritual, if you allow it to happen. The choice is yours.
