The National Steinbeck Center located at One Main Street in Oldtown Salinas will celebrate John Steinbeck’s 110th birthday on February 26th, 2012. Join us as we celebrate John Steinbeck’s 110th birthday on February 26, 2012. Activities are designed to celebrate John Steinbeck’s love for diverse cultures and for the arts, while paying tribute to his literary legacy. There will be family activities, author talks and book signings, reading circles, cultural presentations and more - and of course some birthday cake! The National Steinbeck Center will celebrate John Steinbeck’s 109th birthday with a Community Free Day for Monterey County Residents. All activities included with regular admission for non-residents. Throughout the month of February: • Complimentary admission to the Museum if your birthday is any February. Just show your ID. • The 110th visitor during the month of February wins a gift basket of John Steinbeck Literary Treasures from the Museum store.
