Roleplay Guide September Issue - Doctor Who - Star Wars - Space Role Play

Wherever there is a story with a large fan base, you are likely to find an immersive role play world online where they congregate to "live the adventure." This has never been more true than with Doctor Who and Star Wars. Space role play this month!

Sept. 26, 2011 - PRLog -- This month in Roleplay Guide Magazine -- Role play in Space!

Doctor Who fans find each other in role play environments such as SecondLife and Roleplay Guide Magazine hunts them down to discuss where they RP, how they RP and why and how they have come together.  "Doctor Who is a cultural icon for so many of us around the world," says Umberto Giano, Co-Publisher of Roleplay Guide Magazine.  "It's no surprise really that fans would seek each other out to immerse themselves in the world of Doctor Who, by role playing the beloved characters, or making up new ones of their own," he concludes.

But this issue doesn't stop with Doctor Who.  "When planning out an issue all about space role play, we discovered a rather huge Star Wars community involved in seriously in-depth RP," Filipa Thespian, Founder and Co-Publisher shares.  "Being a 'Star Wars' child myself, I find it fascinating and exciting, these realms, their builds, their characters ... it's truly amazing to see how fans delve into the world, creating their own versions and characters and really continuing Star Wars as it was in the beginning," she finishes.

As in each issue of Roleplay Guide Magazine, RP University covers another aspect of role play, how to role play combat without the "shoot'em up" environments or tools provided by online games.  "It's such an exciting challenge to enter into a conflict with another character and rely completely on your wits, your character's racial and skill abilities (character sheet) and figure out how to win," Filipa says excitedly.  "or ... to lose.  Those who follow their character's and roles so well as to lose with aplomb are the best, strongest, most highly skilled role players you'll ever want to meet.  They know it's not all about winning and sometimes, losing is what builds a better story and true future for a character you enjoy to play.  It makes online role play so much more like the Table Top Dungeons and Dragons so many of us remember from our younger years," she states.

This is just a sampling of what is available in September 2011's issue of Roleplay guide Magazine.  Visit their website to see it in full color, or to access and read the articles independently.
