Sanborn Place Acquires Active Day and Re-launches as Sanborn Day Adult Day Services

Sept. 26, 2011 - PRLog -- Active Day had served Sanborn Place and Home Care Community Clients for the past fifteen years. Once known as Deerfield Adult Day Services, Sanborn Day is a viable resource of caring and prevention of institutional care. Sanborn Day provides a staff of health care professionals, including registered nurses and therapists, to help those members with more complex physical or psychological problems and needs. This service assists families with the much needed respite and programming to care for their loved ones in order to maintain some balance in their lives; also providing a healthy environment for seniors and those with progressive diseases to be stimulated, entertained and medically monitored. Sanborn Day has revamped and added programs, which includes a variety of health, social and supportive services in a safe, protective environment during the daytime hours along with integrating Sanborn’s culture of success.  
Located at 607 North Avenue Building 18 #3 on Lake Quannapowitt in Wakefield, MA just off of Route 128 the facility largely services the communities of Reading, Stoneham, Wakefield, North Reading, Melrose, Wilmington, Winchester ,Woburn and surrounding areas.  Sanborn Day is open Monday – Friday from 8:00 am – 5:00 pm. Sanborn- Place, Home Care & Day Center are active members of many state and local organizations: MA Aging, AAHSA, CHAPA, NEEHA, NEAHMA, MARSH, Alzheimer's Association, Reading Rotary Club and the Reading North Reading Chamber of Commerce.  Strong alliances and working partnerships have also been developed with Mystic Valley Elder Services, the Reading Housing Authority, Middlesex Visiting Nurses Association, Winchester Hospital, Hallmark Health, area Nursing, Rehab Centers and Adult Day Programs; State Depts. of EOEA, DMH, DMR & MASS REHAB, HUD and Mass Housing.
The community is always welcome at Sanborn Place. Staffing is made available to assist and volunteer with activities of interest for seniors in the community. Annual events are open to the public including Holiday Open House, Easter Egg Hunt, and the Halloween Party. There are many ways to contribute to Sanborn’s culture and quality of care that makes a difference in the lives of those who call Sanborn Home.
