South Korea's NeoPharm forges strategic alliance with Japan Emirates Trading

Sept. 25, 2011 - PRLog -- Dubai, 25 September 2011 -  Leading South Korean skin research firm and manufacturer of skincare products, NeoPharm has forged a strategic alliance with UAE-based Japan Emirates Trading (JET), which specializes in personal healthcare and beauty products, to introduce a breakthrough skincare technology in the Middle East that will boost the treatment of dry skin and other skin disorders.

NeoPharm, a publicly traded company that is listed in South Korea’s KOSDAQ stock market is a subsidiary of the AK Group of Companies, one of the largest conglomerates in South Korea. Japan Emirates Trading is a part of Dubai-based Triveni Group.

A US FDA-approved company, NeoPharm was awarded the prestigious KOTRA award from the South Korean government for setting a benchmark in dermatological science by researching the unique, patented Multi Lamellar Emulsion (MLE) technology that mimics the human skin structure. As a result, this technology is able to play a part in the replenishment of the lost  natural skin lipids and moisture.

NeoPharm has also researched the exclusive ingredient K6PC5, an activator that contributes towards the anti-aging process by helping reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Both these patented research were introduced by NeoPharm’s Principal Researcher, Se Kyoo Jeong to senior dermatologists in the UAE at a presentation held at the Dubai World Trade Centre Club.

The presentation was followed by the Middle East launch of NeoPharm’s Atopalm products, a skincare line based on the MLE technology and infused with the K6PC5 ingredient. The Atopalm range was unveiled by Mr. Jaffar Abdulla Abdouli Al Zarouni, Chairman of Japan Emirates Trading Est.
The event was also attended by Mr. Ashok Galgotia, President of Triveni Group and JET, Dr. Azmet Merchant, Managing Director of JET, Ms. Jeanhee Rah, Director, NeoPharm, and Ms. Yunkyong Koo, Manager, NeoPharm.

Initially, six of the Atopalm products will be made available at pharmacies across the UAE, by Japan Emirates Trading, the exclusive distributor of the Atopalm range in the Middle East. The six products are Atopalm intensive moisturizing cream, Atopalm moisturizing body lotion, Atopalm moisturizing skin revitalizing complex, Atopalm moisturizing eye repair serum, Atopalm moisturizing hand treatment and Atopalm moisturizing facial cleansing foam.

NeoPharm medical expert Se Kyoo Jeong said that the MLE technology is aimed at improving skin barrier function safely and effectively. Skin barrier function is one of the most important natural processes of the skin, as it helps in moisture control and offers protection from hostile environmental elements.

The non-greasy, non-sticky, alcohol-free, paraben-free and easily absorbed MLE formulas contain plant derived ingredients that mimic the structure of the natural skin and provide the ultimate solution in revitalizing the skin moisture through the restoration of the skin’s protective moisture barrier system.
