This a fantastic tool. I have been looking for an easier way to sharpen my knives for a while. I have water stones, even stones with guides to get the proper angles, but I'm just not skilled or patient enough to get a razor sharp edge. The Work Sharp WSKTS is idiot proof, even I got all my knives (kitchen, pocket and outdoor) shaving sharp the first time I used it.
This tool will give you a convex edge, so if you have a flat ground edge on your knife it will re-profile it to give you a convex edge. Most of my blades have a convex edge so it has been no problem for me, plus I like the convex edge.
I'm no knife expert but, for a layman who likes his blades shaving sharp, I highly recommend this tool.
