Welsh Town Comes Out on Top for Young Drivers Insurance

Sept. 23, 2011 - PRLog -- Recent research by young driver insurance firm, iKube, has revealed that Llandrindod Wells in Powys is actually the cheapest place in Wales to buy young drivers insurance with an average premium of just £1,250.71 - almost £300 less than the Welsh capital!*

The study carried out by iKube (http://www.ikubeinsurance.com) also indicated that Llandrindod Wells came ahead of Hereford and Chester as the cheapest place to buy young drivers insurance (http://www.ikubeinsurance.com/Young-Drivers-Insurance/).

Commenting on these findings a spokesperson for iKube commented:

"These figures are astonishing - of the entirety of Wales we didn't expect Llandrindod Wells to come out above the likes of Cardiff - typically a good postcode for car insurance prices."

In spite of this figures for surrounding areas of Swansea, Newport and Cardiff all did reasonably well for young drivers insurance premiums - ranging from £1,400 - £1,545, figures that are lower than the recorded UK average for car insurance for young drivers - which stood at £3,688 back in May, as reported by The Telegraph.**
