The contract to clean the 21-storey apartment block came hot on the heels of the successful clean of high-rise tower blocks for Wandsworth Council on behalf of highly respected builders Durkan Building Limited.

Cleaning the Tower Bridge high rise was not a simple affair.  The whole building is covered in Dryvit Insulated Render which cannot be cleaned with any chemicals.  The towering apartment block is also within reach of some of London’s most photographed and visited sights and picturesque views so an immaculately cleaned façade was the order of the day.

Cleaning specialists at Aquamark used water fed poles to clean the building’s surface.  Water fed poles use pure water that is pumped at pressure through telescopic poles or tubes.  The force of the water blasts the surface and rids it of built up grime and dirt.  The cleaning system, most commonly used for high rise window cleaning, can reach up to 73 feet and uses no detergents, so it was a perfect solution for the Dryvit coated building.
