Introducing The Adventure & Backpacker Industry Conference And The Independent Travel Exchange

Sept. 23, 2011 - PRLog -- For the first time in the UK, TNT Multimedia will be hosting versions of the newly acquired Australian B2B travel industry events: the Adventure & Backpacker Industry Conference (ABiC) on 12 October and the Independent Travel Exchange (ITE) networking event on 13 October. Being held at the Arlington Conference Centre in Camden, London, both events are the only one of their kind specifically aimed at adventure and backpacker operators and retailers.

The trekking Lord Hobart, the Rt. Hon. Miles Hobart-Hampden, Earl of Buckinghamshire, chairman of The Britain-Australia Society is to open the event. Hobart-Hampden is a keen trekker, having completed the walk from Cradle Mountain to Lake St Claire in 2009. He is now planning to walk the South Coast trek in 2012. After an opening speech from Hobart-Hampden, ABiC will kick off for a day of cutting-edge travel industry talks.
Topics and workshops will range from ‘boosting your brand’ to ‘the benefits of setting up corporate responsibility strategies’ and ‘counterbalancing the challenges of the current economy’ with leading organisations and travel companies speaking such as ABTA, VisitBritain, World Nomads, Tnooz.com and many more.

The Independent Travel Exchange (ITE)
13 October 2011 – Arlington Conference Centre, Camden - 08.30 – 16.30

ITE is a business to business appointment based networking day where delegates will meet senior representatives from the backpacking and adventure travel industry. ITE is an excellent forum for travel and related businesses of all sizes.  New and smaller companies get the opportunity to present their products and services to major suppliers, retailers and representatives central to the thriving backpacker and adventure travel market.

Once delegates have registered they can create a profile page, upload their logo, company details and product/service information (available to view by all other registered delegates only) and most importantly, enables representatives to be able to request specific appointments with key industry colleagues.
