Click.to Adds Pastebin.com to the Program

Sharing source code with syntax highlighting - with one click

Sept. 28, 2011 - PRLog -- Following three new collaborations in the past four weeks, click.to has now added the online service of Pastebin.com to its young desktop application. Karlsruhe-based company Axonic’s software allows the user to now share source code and other texts via Pastebin.com, using just one click from their desktop. The default installation package has now been expanded to include the "click.to Pastebin.com" function.

Both Pastebin.com and click.to rely on the copy and paste principle. Pastebin.com provides users with a platform on which they can temporarily store and share source code. Click.to saves its users clicks between Copy & Paste commands by offering a variety of further uses for copied content.

As a result of the new partnership, the path to Pastebin.com is greatly shortened. The click.to program takes over after the selection of text or source code, opening the browser and, if necessary, entering the login information and pasting the selected information. By clicking on the Pastebin.com icon that appears above the cursor, the chosen text is posted directly to Pastebin.com - without any further effort on the part of the user.

The click.to standard package is complemented by over two dozen actions, including click.to Wikipedia, click.to Google, click.to Facebook and many others, making it a potentially useful tool for Pastebin.com users. A particularly interesting feature of click.to is its customizability:  the click.to API is available for users to add their own customized actions.

What click.to and Pastebin.com have to say:
"With this partnership, we've created a great additional benefit for all developers," says Martin Welker, CEO of Axonic. "'The programmer no longer needs to change screens when working'; he can focus on his work and Copy & Paste whatever he needs to Pastebin.com at the same time.”

Jeroen Vader, owner of Pastebin.com: "Having Pastebin.com fully supported by the click.to application should make it much easier for people to quickly copy and paste large pieces of text, and to be able to access those items at any point in the future, as they will now be stored online on the Pastebin.com webservers."

Click.to is free
The free program is available on www.clicktoapp.com.
It’s currently available for Windows and is in Beta testing for a Mac OS version.
