Fall Family Portrait Fundraiser: Jack and Jill Oakland Bay Area Chapter

Sept. 22, 2011 - PRLog -- Jack and Jill of America (a nonprofit) was founded in January 24, 1938 by Marion Stubbs Thomas.  United, twenty mothers created an organization that helped young people enrich their lives through service projects, and since then they have represented over thirty-thousand families. The founder, Marion Stubbs Thomas, once said, “To us as mothers, it [Jack and Jill] has become a means of furthering an inherent and natural desire …to bestow upon our children all the opportunities possible for a normal and graceful approach to a beautiful adulthood.” Investing in the futures of children, opening social, educational, and cultural doors for the different generations of youth through the Jack and Jill organization are the main goals of the mothers who participate in it.

The Jack and Jill OBAC (Oakland Bay Area Chapter) Chapter Group V will be participating in various fundraisers this fall. These fundraisers are designed to help the youth donate to philanthropic Jack and Jill projects, helping to further the knowledge, education and success of young people. The organization has set a goal for the youth to work to achieve and with the help of their community they can do it.

The first fundraiser of the OBAC is designed to not only help the youth reach their fundraising goal, but it is also designed to depict and portray the closeness of various families across the city. Positive Images Photography will be offering Family Portrait Sessions for purchase this fall!! These portrait sessions will be available to families for $99. The session includes a consultation design appointment where the clients come into the photography studio and plan out what their session will consist of. There is an option for the sessions to take place in the studio for more traditional family portraits or outside at Lake Merritt, using the great outdoors as a backdrop for the portraits. Included in the purchase will be one 8x10, 8 wallets and a Facebook Image of the clients favorite pose. The best part about purchasing this family portrait session is that a $50 contribution will be given to Group V for every purchase.
