As an independent attorney rating service and publication, Super Lawyers (http://www.superlawyers.com) recognizes outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high-degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. Rising Stars are selected from candidates that are either 40 years old or younger or in practice for ten years or less. The selection process for both designations includes independent research, peer nominations and evaluations of other attorneys within the peer group.
Both Super Lawyers and Texas Rising Stars candidates are selected by attorneys using a rigorous, multiphase rating process. Each attorney that is selected has been evaluated on 12 indicators of peer recognition and professional achievement. Selections are made on an annual, state-by-state basis. Less than 2.5 percent of all attorneys in Texas are recognized as either a Super Lawyer or Texas Rising Star.
“The objective of our publication is to create a credible, comprehensive and diverse listing of outstanding attorneys that can be used as a resource for lawyers and consumers searching for legal counsel,” said Adam Wahlberg, editor of Super Lawyers. “Since both the Super Lawyers and Texas Rising Stars lists are intended to be used as an aid in selecting a legal counsel, we limit the ratings to those attorneys who can be hired and retained by the public, such as lawyers in private practice and Legal Aid attorneys.”
“To date, Super Lawyers has recognized ten Wick Phillips attorneys a total of 46 times since 2004,” said Bryan Wick, co-founder and managing partner of Wick Phillips (http://www.wickphillips.com). “Being recognized by our peers as top attorneys is very rewarding and helps validate our mission of creating a law firm with top-tier talent that provides unprecedented customer service and a business-minded approach to solving legal issues.”
