Eddie Black goes instrumental on CD "Diffusion"

Eddie Black was born in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.  He’s always had a passion for just about every aspect of creating music and performance.  He grew up listening to all kinds of music.  At an early age he began piano lessons.  Then at age 12 he learned to play the alto saxophone followed by the guitar and bass.  At age 14 he started songwriting.  He wanted to form his own band so that he could perform in front of a live audience.  He’s worked with many talented bands and artists throughout Canada and the United States.

Eddie Black’s talent in songwriting and arrangements landed him a project to create instrumental music for the purpose of intros on audio books for a publishing company.  His catchy melodies and inspiring and energizing style brings many opportunities to Eddie.  

Eddie’s first independent solo CD titled “18 Years After” included 14 tracks.  It was released in April 2003.  During 2008 and 2009, he received industry attention and positive feedback from Universal Music Canada, Music News Nashville, U.S.A. and in Queensland, Australia for his songwriting and musical talents.  

March, 2008 took him to Miami Beach, Florida for 10 days.  There he was inspired to create dance, electronic instrumental music.  

August 30th, 2010 was the release of Eddie’s instrumental CD, “Diffusion” which was a techno dance groove-type compilation of songs.  It was full of bass, keyboards and drum beats to a blend of energizing melodies.  It has 13 tracks with two songs that standout, “Waiting for You” and “Berlin Mix”.

In June 2011, Eddie decided to return to his roots and influences in the Country/Alternative music genre.  This new project developed into a very fresh, inspiring mix of flavors that brought out a very creative side of Eddie.  

The single “Be My Girl” is one single which is off of his CD “18 Years After”.    This song is about a man knowing that he has found a girl who undeniably is the match for him.  “This song is a proposal song of love”, states Eddie.  It is relatable to just about anyone who listens to it and is a very heartfelt song that brings joy and happiness.  The tempo, rhythm, the overall arrangement is very uplifting and wonderful to listen to.  What a great mixture of harmony and background vocals.  

Eddie Black considers himself a rocker and blues guitarist at heart.  He brings the strengths and highlights of that style of music to his country/alternative rock music delivering a wonderfully full and very unique sound to the airwaves.  

Eddie Black is planning to tour the United States.  He loves the warm weather and thinks Americans are amazing people.  No information is available at this time regarding this.  

October 2011, Eddie will be traveling to Nashville, Tennessee to further his work as a songwriter and meet with contacts in the music industry.
