Phuket Property: Warning - this villa could seriously improve your health

So, next time you are looking at property, don't just give the bathroom a quick glance.

It could do wonders for your health.

Apparently, the bathrooms at Aelita Villas are so good they've won awards.

Why?

I suppose it is because they blend outside and inside together so well (and because they are massive).

In fact, when you are in the master bathroom it feels more like you are in a tropical garden.

If it wasn’t for the huge bathtub, the two showers and the twin washbasins you could be forgiven for thinking you are not in a bathroom at all...

The rest of the house is pretty special too.

The epicentre is a huge 90m2 open-plan living-dining-kitchen.

And it feels even bigger because of its beamed, vaulted ceiling and the large glass doors on both sides...

The red and black wirework lamps you can see were custom designed in Chiang Mai.

The kitchen is small but sports a full range of appliances and a breakfast bar.

Apart from its award winning bathroom, the master bedroom has a huge walk in closet with black bamboo doors and a private terrace.

The two guest bedrooms are both en-suite. But their bathrooms are not quite as impressive as the master.

Outside, my favourite thing is the sala - its roof is made from alang-alang grass, brought in from Bali.

As far as I know, they are the only ones like this in Phuket...

Black slate has been used to tile the swimming pool and it goes well with the established tropical gardens that surround it.

There’s also a covered garage for your car and a separate entry door.

Location wise, the area is quiet - surrounded by hills and natural streams.

It is a 5 minute drive from Layan Beach and about the same to Laguna Golf Course.

And for your peace of mind, there is 24 hour security and on-site management.

The estate is now fully completed and some owners have already moved in.

Overall I am impressed, but don’t take my word for it.
