Sept. 27, 2011 - PRLog -- Software as a platform for high volume product and services was started by the introduction of the IBM PC, model 5150, and the launch of the first Apple Macintosh in the early 1980’s. Moore’s law drove the price of the PC/Mac down making them a standard piece of equipment in more than 1 billion homes in the world today.  

The Internet and the epidemic spread of social media platforms have provided the software industry with a super highway to connect with their 3 billion consumers and businesses.

Now with 5 billion mobile subscribers and 1 billion broadband-based smartphones the software industry has been given an additional platform for extreme volumes of all types of software-based products and services.

The first service introduced by the High Volume Competency Center is a “High Volume Strategy Development/Review Process.” The service is designed to help High Volume software companies formulate Customer Value Propositions, Value Chains, Ideal Customer Profiles, perform Business Modeling and define Go-To-Market approaches.  The service is also directed at helping High Volume software companies repair established strategies, which seem not to be working according to expectations.
