Oxfam is one of the institutions that Melvin Mazier strongly supports. Oxfam is an international confederation of 15 organizations that works in 98 countries across the globe to find lasting solutions to poverty and injustice. Oxfam works directly with communities and seeks to influence the powerful to ensure that poor people can improve their lives and livelihoods and have a say in decisions that affect them. Melvin Mazier has made several donations to Oxfam, specifically for their project named Tokyo Oxfam Trailwalker. The Tokyo Oxfam Trailwalker is a 60 mile journey that passes over the volcanic mountains of Hakkone National Park. The course is undertaken by teams of four members each who have to complete the course in less than 48 hours. The aim of this course is to raise funds for Oxfam projects in Darfur, Sudan, Cambodia, India and South Africa. Melvin Mazier has also supported the full expense of the education and living of a boy from Honduras through Children International.
