What does it mean for you and your organization

Since Google announced its new social network in June, the public has wondered exactly what Google+ means for them and their organizations. Just when we all thought we had mastered the tweet and garnered enough “likes,” Google goes ahead and adds a new social media platform.

Although it is currently focused on individuals, the foundation and implications for businesses are clearly coming in the near future. When the world’s largest search engine launches a social media platform, brands and businesses need to sit up and pay attention. In this session, Mrs. Fathi will teach attendees how to use Google+ for personal branding and networking as well as how to prepare the foundation for organizations in advance of an official Google+ business offering. This seminar provides an opportunity for attendees to educate themselves on this rapidly rising platform and position themselves as their organization’s Google+ guide.

Attendees will learn what Google+ is and all about its primary features and functions from circles and streams to hangouts, huddles and sparks. Additional topics include setting up a Google+ profile, building and promoting a Google+ network, how does Google+ differ/compare to other leading social networks and what analysts, journalists and social media experts saying about the future developments and trajectory for Google+.

Ms Fathi has spent the past 15 years helping technology companies achieve their communications goals. A celebrated speaker and active contributor to PR industry publications, her talent is turning emerging communications tools into practical, useful strategies for clients with tangible ROI. Founded in 2002, Affect provides public relations and social media services to clients. The firm has been setting social media strategy and executing social media campaigns on behalf of its clients from before the term social media was coined. Sandra's focus is always on understanding the value of and ROI for firms engaging in social media from a hard business metrics standpoint.
