PRLog - Sep. 21, 2011 - ATLANTA -- What's new in luxury custom home design? The Regina Plan is an European-Mediterranean dream home that welcomes you home. The spectacular curb appeal of this new custom home design exclusively by Architect Boye Akinola. Enter this magnificent house through the two -story high canopy that provides warmth and shelter from the elements. Enter into a spacious open two story foyer with a double tray ceiling that invites and pulls you into this remarkable open floor plan. Right behind the dining room is a straight run stair that is nicely tucked away but exposed at its beautifully flared base to receive the traffic to the second floor. On the right of the foyer is the living room and study.

The central formal family room is the main attraction in this house and it has a two story ceiling height with a circular tray that gives it its grand nature. The rear wall is accented by a wall of glass windows. The spacious family room opens to the breakfast room and kitchen. The family room is a great place for entertaining friends and family with its access to the deck though a French door.
The master bedroom is on the main floor and is very spacious. A nice large sitting area anchors the master bedroom at the rear of the house. This master bedroom is accented by a fireplace that creates a warm cozy zone in the master bedroom. The master bathroom is very lavish and open and its tub is positioned at the center of the rear wall with a big picture window.
Each bedroom upstairs is spaciously dimensioned. Like in most of Architect Boye’s plans, there is a spacious loft/teen study on the second floor conducive for the children’s reading and entertainment activities while upstairs.
The Regina Plan’s front elevation has a blend of Mediterranean design with the use of brick with stucco accents as its exterior wall finish materials. We used brick instead of stucco for the exterior finish to provide low-maintenance for the homeowners.
Like in most of our new plans, we have added an I-pod, I-pad and I-phone charging station/rack for the whole family in the desk area of the kitchen. A finished basement plan is available that consists of a theater room, recreation area, game lounge, exercise room, guest bedroom, office, bathrooms, outdoor lanai area and patio.
