Designer Fabric and Wallpaper Autumn Collections Now Available In York

Sept. 21, 2011 - PRLog -- The latest designer fabrics and coordinated wallpapers are now on display at York interior décor store, Fabric Gallery and Interiors. Fabric Gallery and Interiors has the most comprehensive collection of designer fabrics in Yorkshire.

With a nod to fashion catwalks, the designers of fabrics and wallpapers now release new collections at least once and often twice a year. Big name design houses such as Designers Guild, Osborne & Little, Sanderson, Voyage Decorations and Romo have launched their new Autumn collections. Design aficionados now have extra choice when it comes to restyling their homes and can maintain their cutting edge.

According to Bronia Suszczenia, Creative Director at Fabric Gallery & Interiors, "The only way to truly appreciate the latest designer fabrics is to see them in the flesh." She adds, "fabric in particular is a 3 dimensional organic substance and no magazine or computer screen can reveal the truly sumptuous texture of a velvet or the two-tone lustre of a beautiful silk".

Amongst the many new collections here are Bronia's "Three of the Best":

1) Designers Guild

This season’s highlights from Designers Guild includes Amrapali fabric and Wallpaper;   A beautiful collection of printed designs on linens, silks and cottons. Exquisitely rendered decorative floral patterns including a truly stunning digitally printed design, as well as soft geometrics and stripes.


2) Osborne & Little

Go wild with Osborne and Little this season! The Komodo wallpaper collection consists of contemporary designs all printed on a durable non-woven base taking its main inspiration from the coats and skins of wild animals. Sabi fabrics are ideal for contemporary hotel design. Their washability also makes them an attractive choice for domestic interiors. Most of the designs are interpretations of the coats or skins of wild animals and are named after game reserves in Africa.

3) Zoffany

Luxury Tinto wools woven in the lowlands of Lanarkshire, Scotland, near the hill and town of Tinto, these wools give an innovative twist to traditional plaids, damasks and knitted patterns. The mix of natural marled wool yarns in subtle, glowing colours and natural linen yarns give contrast and texture to the designs.
