Storage Switzerland Hands-On Review Demonstrates the Gridstore Scale-Out NAS Solution

Sept. 21, 2011 - PRLog -- Mountain View, Calif.  – Gridstore™, the leader in scale-out NAS solutions for the SMB market, today announced that analyst firm Storage Switzerland rates part two of their testing of the Gridstore 2.0 solution’s graphical user interface (GUI) a success. In the hands-on review, “Driving the Scale Out GUI –Gridstore Scale Out NAS Test Drive,” Storage Switzerland’s senior analyst, George Crump, shares his “test drive” findings following a second look at the Gridstore Scale-out NAS solution.

“A key testing area with scale-out or grid storage systems is how well does the system’s management software deliver on the promise of multiple storage servers acting as one. There are times during the administrative day that you want to manage all these nodes as one entity while there are other times when you want to be able to see and manage the individual nodes,” said Crump. “I am happy to report that the Gridstore handles this challenge quite nicely. Gridstore has successfully balanced the management of a single grid while allowing detailed inspection of the nodes within that grid.”

Storage Switzerland will be evaluating the Gridstore 2.0 solution’s performance over a 90-day period and providing additional reports including results of read/write tests.
