Invata Intralogistics Interviews Industry Simulation Guru and Strategic Partner Randall Gibson

In an open style website forum, Invata will be presenting expert commentary on key pressure points within the supply chain: Inventory, Infrastructure, Labor and Transportation.

In the second video of the series, Diamond Head Associates Managing Principal Randy Gibson discusses the changing role of modeling and simulation in the supply chain industry. Mr. Gibson notes that, “Historically, simulation had been used for strategic decision making, but with recent changes in technology we can now extend these tools from strategic analysis to operational support.” He added, “The tools we have available for complex mathematical analysis can now easily help us to fine-tune facilities so that we don’t over-automate, or build buildings that are too large or overstaffed.”
