Is Phuket booming in Property sales?

PRLog (Press Release) - Sep. 21, 2011 - Great news!! According to the Phuket Gazette property page, the entire island is booming. The West, South, North, East, not omitting inland have all been reported as thriving.  All agents seem to be doing well and business is flourishing.  Luckily this makes my job very easy, apparently any location in Phuket is a sure thing, a guaranteed investment, I smell something fishy…and its not coming from the sea.


Whether this is an honest opinion on the Phuket market is another conversation. I think it is worth pointing out that for a agent to make a profit you do not need to sell a great deal of houses, so maybe the Phuket agents are doing well but the question is,

‘Is the amount of sales reflecting the amount of property available in Phuket’. My answer is probably not.

What would be interesting to know is, what is the percentage of sales made compared to the amount of property that is listed, I would say around 5% (this is a guess), so does this mean that the West, South, North, East and inland are all doing well???

Some people are just chasing commission regardless of whether it is a good investment or not. Better to choose your investment wisely.
