APSI partners with University and Call Center to help with job training and placements

APSI, Woodson University and the Mike Minter Workforce Development Program team up to offer accredited training program to assist local Call Center fulfill over 1200 job openings in North Carolina.

Sept. 20, 2011 - PRLog -- Woodson University has announced its new partnership with Connextions, Inc., Alliant Personnel Solutions Inc. (APSI) & Mike Minter Work Development Program to offer a
Customer Service Sales Specialist Certificate at the University.  Woodson University, located in Cabarrus County and Charlotte-based APSI, an expert in vocational training and consulting services will offer the certification; providing continuing education to career seekers preparing to enter a rapidly growing job market. Connextions will receive prospective candidates for employment from the Woodson/Minter program.

We are hiring over 1,200 people NOW in the North Carolina area for our Concord and our new South Charlotte solution centers – so we truly appreciate the support we’re receiving through this partnership to get the word out to job seekers about our great health careers.” said Todd Baxter, executive vice president of Connextions, Inc.

This collaboration allows our work development program the ability to introduce work ready training courses to adults throughout our region, said, Mike Minter.  Residents of Cabarrus/Mecklenburg County and surrounding markets seeking high-demand occupational training can now take these courses at Woodson University. "We are positively excited to partner with Connextions, the Mike Minter Work Development Program, and APSI to deliver the highest quality training and education in these hardest of economic times. This partnership delivers jobready knowledge, skills and abilities to individuals seeking to improve their lives and the communities in which they live”, said university president, A.L. Fleming.
