Mr. Ramsdell joins Ashton Woods Homes after serving, most recently, as Land Acquisition Manager for Richmond American Homes, where he was responsible for the acquisition of several new communities for the company’s Phoenix division. Prior to working at Richmond American, Mr. Ramsdell worked for eight years at Shea Homes; five years as the Division’s Forward Planning Manager, responsible for managing the acquisition and entitlement of a wide variety of properties, from small subdivisions to large master planned communities.
Originally from Denver, Colorado, Mr. Ramsdell moved with his family to Mesa when he was in junior high. He then attended college at Northern Arizona University where he studied urban planning and later received an MPA from the University of Oklahoma.
“My father was in the homebuilding business and, as a kid, I loved going with him to jobsites, explained Mr. Ramsdell. “I spent just about three years working with my father at his small homebuilding company. Though I went to school to become a planner, this experience really solidified my desire to stick to homebuilding,”
Mr. Ramsdell lives in the Phoenix area with his wife, Carmen and their 3 young boys, all of whom are involved in sports.
“I am extremely excited to join the Ashton Woods team,” stated Mr. Ramsdell.
