Sept. 20, 2011 - PRLog -- We provide a broad spectrum of diagnostic procedures through in-house testing and the use of external laboratories. We also work closely with local practices when special diagnostic procedures are required. The facility includes a well-stocked pharmacy, in-hospital surgery suite, in-house digital radiographs, ultrasound, video-toscopy, laser surgery, a closely supervised hospitalization area, and indoor and outdoor boarding kennels with outdoor walking areas.

At Coulter Animal Hospital we strive to offer not only sound advice, but also optimal veterinary care, thus allowing you the enjoyment of your companion for a maximum number of years. Our job is not only to treat your pet when he or she isn't feeling well, but also to help you learn how to keep your best friend happy and healthy.

Dr. David Hodges lived in Wellington, Texas during his high school years.  He grew up with family pets, worked with livestock and loved science, which made Veterinary medicine a natural choice for his vocation.
Dr. Hodges earned his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Texas A&M University in 1978 after completing a Bachelors of Science in Animal Science at Texas Tech University in 1975.  While in high school, Dr. Hodges met his future wife, Jan, whom he married in 1977.  They have three sons that graduated from Texas A&M.  Preston, the oldest, graduated in '08 with a Construction Science degree and is a Senior Project Engineer specializing in hospital facilities with Beck Group, based out of Dallas.  Twin sons, Austin and Patrick, graduated with Biomedical Science degrees in '10 and entered Baylor College of Dentistry at Dallas August 2010.  The Hodges family has five dogs, one cat, two horses and six calves.
Dr. Hodges was an associate in a mixed practice in Anadarko, OK. in 1978-79, an associate in an equine practice in Canyon, Tx. in 1979-1984 and built Coulter Animal Hospital in 1984.  He enjoys snow skiing and is an avid quail hunter.  His favorite hunting companion, Boone, is with him in the picture above.
