Sept. 20, 2011 - PRLog -- The RVC Series medium voltage chip resistors from Stackpole offer excellent voltage handling at low cost. Many other high-voltage resistors have higher costs due to unusual manufacturing processes or materials used.  The RVC Series is designed to achieve high-voltage handling without requiring the use of expensive materials or low speed high precision manufacturing processes.  Voltage ratings range from 100 volts for the 0402 size up to 3KV for the 2512 size. The RVC Series provides standard 1% and 5% resistance tolerances and TCR values as low as 100 ppm.

The RVC Series is a popular choice for applications requiring high-voltage handling, yet don't require extremely high resistance values, or low TCR's and tolerances, such as patient monitoring equipment, test equipment, instrumentation, networking and telecom equipment, motion and robotics controls, and high-voltage power supplies.  They are also frequently specified for applications requiring a resistor that can withstand repetitive ESD events.

The RVC Series is available in tape and reel packaging in quantities from 4K to 10K per reel depending on size.  Pricing varies with size, tolerance, and resistance value and ranges from $0.04 to $0.24 each in full reel quantities.  Contact Stackpole or one of our franchised distributors for volume pricing.
