on Sat., Oct. 8 featuring Rock and Roll Hall of Fame members George Clinton & Parliament-Funkadelic. The day-long music festival includes L*A*W, Frank Stepanek Band with George Deveny and legendary drummer Bob Holz, Anguile & the High Steppers, Slug and DJ Kaleaf. WOUR-FM's Genesee Joe will MC.

George Clinton is the single most influential figure in the history of Funk music, the mastermind behind Parliament and Funkadelic. Clinton & Parliament-Funkadelic were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, The Hollywood Rock Walk, and earned a Lifetime Achievement Award at the NAACP Image awards. In 2002, SPIN Magazine voted them number six of the 50 Greatest Bands of All Time. They were headliners at Woodstock 99, where they gave an electrifying performance.
Multi-talented L*A*W’s songs have been played on MTV’s The Real World, Next,and Making the Band. The singer-songwriter-
multi-instrumentalist also appeared on TV with Amy Winehouse. Boston-based Anguile and the High Steppers specializing in roots reggae, with an emphasis on dub and Afro-fusion. Of special note is the appearance of Three time Grammy-nominated singer/songwriter-
guitarist Frank Stepanek. Stepanek is a high-energy showman who formerly played with Black Uhuru. Joining Stepanek is well know guitarist George Deveny and legendary drummer Bob Holz. Bob Holz is widely considered to be one of America’s funkiest drummers with his poly rhythmic approach. Crown Heights DJ Kaleaf will spin the newest tunes from around the world. Slug's influences are a mix of American roots, rock, blues, funk, bluegrass and country.
Gelston Castle Estate is offering a 30 percent discount for VFW and active military members. The VFW Foundation is the official charity of Gelston Castle Estate 2011.
Historic Gelston Castle Estate is situated on 330 acres overlooking the Mohawk Valley, since 2009 has hosted major events including moe.down, Furthurfest, Reggae For Climate Protection, and Drums Along the Mohawk.
