By: Website Administrator According to Authorities the small biplane crashed just before 9 a.m. near Redlands Municipal Airport. People who were nearby were able to pull the pilot out of the wreckage. The pilot was taken to the hospital and condition is unknown at this time. The photo attached shows the small plane shortly after the Fire department extinguished the flames. Redlands Municipal Airport (IATA: REI, ICAO: KREI) is a public airport located two miles (3.2 km) northeast of Downtown Redlands, serving San Bernardino County, California, USA. Since 1947 Redlands Municipal Airport has been serving the area’s aviation community.
