What Does Madonna, Allison Janney, Russell Peters And K’naan All Have In Common?

Sept. 19, 2011 - PRLog -- On the opening weekend of the Toronto International Film Festival® September the 10th and 11th, the Premier Celebrity Gift and Style Lounge held in the Yorkville room at The Hazelton Hotel played host to celebrities, film directors/producers and media alike.  TIFF® elites gathered at the lounge where they were gifted and styled with premium products from over 31 vendors from across the world. Madonna, Allison Janney, Russell Peters and K’Naan were just some of the celebrities gifted with products from the Lounge.

“Some guests spent as much as two hours in the lounge” reports B.A.D PR owner Shaun Marq of Dragon’s Den’s Arlene Dickinson and The Help star Allison Janney. “It was private and we really provided an amazing atmosphere for celebs looking for that extra pampering. We made sure that each guest had a guide to help them through the lounge, escort them to their rooms, hotels or cars and even provided VIP concierge services."

The lounge was held in a closed function room where guests were invited in to grab up products from vendors like Rowenta, Frash Jewellery, Dear Frankie Lingerie, Cornell, Greg May and Umbra to name a few. There was an onsite stylist, makeup artist, hair stylist and even a professional sketch artist to entertain the film buffs.

As part of the service of the Lounge, Directors Shaun Marq and Kelly May also were invited to gift celebs in their hotels. Russell Peters who was at his premier party and couldn’t make the lounge had a giant gift bag hand delivered to the Four Seasons Hotel by the team. “There were a few celebrities who didn’t have the time to chat with all the vendors in the lounge, so we made sure to bring the lounge to them.” explains Kelly May, head of Marketing and Communications for B.A.D PR. “We pride ourselves on our products and the vendors that we bring in. We believe that all celebrities will love and benefit from the products, and we make sure that we get to market our vendors appropriately as really, that’s what we love doing!”

VIP celebrities were gifted the cream of the crop. The highest priced gift bag went to Madonna with a package totalling just under $7000 and included dresses from Canadian designers Carlie Wong, Chor-yin Choi and Jessica Biffi, a hobo bag from Cornell, a premium organic mattress and bedding from Soma Sleep, Ellen’s Degeneres’ favourite vegan cookbook Sweet Freedom by Ricki Heller, full hair care product range from Greg May, custom tees from ZeroEdge, skincare cream from Quantum Hydrox, a pair of custom Swarovski crystal mesh earrings from Micalla, and even lunchboxes for the kiddies from SoYoung.
