The Caveman Paleolithic Diet: how our ancestors stayed fit

Sept. 26, 2011 - PRLog -- If there is anything on the internet now that everyone is raving about --- it’s the caveman paleolithic diet or otherwise known as the paleo diet, the caveman diet or the hunter-gatherer diet. This caveman paleolithic diet is referred to as the diet of the caveman: a nutritional diet plan that is based on the presumed ancient diet of animals and wild plants that our cavemen forefathers consumed in their times.

Some scientists say that the cavemen had the perfect lean built. They can walk and run faster than we do. They had perfect eyesight and their teeth were to die for. Some say they lived a happy, stress-free life. All they ever did was to have fun; they lived, ate and hunted for their food. They even made sure they had enough sunlight to keep them healthy and yet they made sure they had enough sleep during the night. Our cavemen brothers and sisters didn’t have any diseases such as asthma, diabetes and hypertension. They were not depressed and they didn’t have any trauma in their lives.
Oh how life was a lot simpler then, right? And yes, it was their diet that made all those things possible for the cavemen. It was the cavemen paleolithic diet that made them the agile, the healthy and the beautiful creatures in this world.

And if you want to live the way cavemen did – there are so many things to consider in order for you to have the body and the health of those nature hunters.

First you must eat a lot of plants, animal meat and insects. You must learn to carry heavy stuff. You need to move on a slower pace but you have to move more often too. You need not complain about moving fast sometimes as well. You need to sleep a lot and yes, you need to enjoy life and the sun and the moon that it brings.

The Caveman paleolithic diet is all about eating more protein --- think of it as the better Atkins diet. The caveman paleolithic diet is all about eating the foods that are coded in our genes to be eaten. Say no to salt and sugar – say goodbye to grains, cereals, dairy and dairy products. This is the only way you can go on a caveman paleolithic diet.

Some say paleo is just a fad diet and that it wouldn’t last for a long time. But then again, the success of this diet lies with you. If you think this diet is bringing you more good than harm; if you are getting the body shape that you have always desired, then continue with the caveman paleolithic diet then.

The caveman paleolithic diet also encourages you to eat a lot of fish and seafoods. Life is so much better if your diet is not stopping you from eating what your heart desires. Eat that steak with all gusto, never feel guilty for consuming it in less than ten minutes. You were once a caveman and a part of you will always be.
