IndianArtCollectors.com, conceived by a group of Indian Contemporary Art collectors, believes in making the art market more transparent and efficient by exploiting the benefits of the Internet. With an endeavor to create a portal where collectors and artists can share their experiences and collections with each other, IndianArtCollectors.com came into existence. The platform provides artists to display their works to discerning collectors, by uploading them at their convenience, setting their own prices and paying far lower commissions than other art galleries. The collector’s benefit not only from lower costs, but being assured to get authenticated artwork directly from the artist. To know more, visit http://www.indianartcollectors.com/
About Gagan Vij
Born in 1971, Gagan Vij's study as a fashion design, a period of apprenticeship under renowned sculptor Radhakrishnan and a brief stint as an art teacher have all helped Gagan to master form, technique, intensity and skills required to be a successful sculptor. Capturing figures in their moments of contemplation, he plays with clay and wax and works on the textures and balances to get the required angular movements. An artist of great promise, he is making his presence felt in the contemporary Indian art scene. He has shown his works at several exhibitions, and has also undertaken commissions for a number of private collectors, institutions and site-specific public projects. He has created bronzes ranging from a miniature size of half an inch to larger than life size monumental works. Gagan has received much acclaim for his public art works, including the busts of renowned Urdu poet Mirza Ghalib, and Lala Lajpat Rai and a large sculpture of Raja Suraj Mal commissioned by the Delhi Development Authority and the Government of Delhi.
