Contact Center Industry Unites at ATA Vendor Showcase and Technology Fair

The South Central Chapter of the American Teleservices Association (ATA) hosted the 2nd annual Vendor Showcase and Technology Fair on September 8th in Grapevine, Texas. Over 50 companies from the contact center industry participated in the event .

Sept. 16, 2011 - PRLog -- The "sophomore" run of the ATA Vendor Showcase and Technology Fair was even bigger and better than last year.  

The September 8th event at the Grapevine Convention Center drew over 100 professionals, across industries, which work within or provide services to contact center industry.  

22 vendors exhibited best in breed solutions and demonstrated products and services that will help advance and improve call center operations.

In addition to the exhibit hall, several speaking tracks were shared with attendees.

Two pertinent keynote addresses were delivered.  Michael Bitter, VP Marketing of OIX2, presented "Customer Service in a Social Media World".  This was followed by Mike Roe, Founder of the ROE Institute, who presented "ROE powers ROI: The Ultimate Way to Think & Communicate for Ridiculous Results."

Other call center industry experts participated in panel presentations focused on people, process and technology.  Topics ranged from Optimizing Customer Service in Real Time, to Coaching a Multi-Generational Workforce.

Industry panelists and experts included:  Ronnie Mize, Vice President with ETS; Tim Seaberg, Director of Client and Market Development from Intelemedia: Noam Herzenstein, Solution Marketing Manager with Nice;  Anita Hubbard, Executive Vice President Business Management with OnviSource;  Joe Przbylowski, Vice President Implementation and Services with HardMetrics; Steve Barrett, Senior Solutions Consultant with ALI Solutions; Dan Enthoven, Chief Marketing Officer with Evolv on Demand;  Eric Rothert, COO for Novo1 and Bobby Baker, Vice President of Assessment Solutions and Operations from Corvirtus.

As an organization the ATA focuses on legislation, compliance, education, networking and community.  To show support for the community, the South Central Chapter hosted a Call Center Cares initiative during the show.  Attendees were invited to purchase a raffle ticket to win an IPAD, donated by the chapter.   In just a few hours, over $1000 in raffle monies were collected and then donated to TAPS, the Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors.  TAPS is an organization committed to helping families of fallen soldiers across the United States.

The South Central Board of Directors coordinated the outstanding call center event.  In attendance were Laurie Alm, President of Motivated Incentives; Stephen Dawson, Vice President of Communication & Strategic Planning for The Heritage Company; Mike Dunlap, President of Dunlap Marketing, Jim Iyoob, Vice President of Global Development for Etech, Mike Larose, Vice President of Development for Novo 1, Ayn Owens, Director of Marketing and Operations for Telvista, Andy Reese, Director of Operations for Winning Strategies Marketing, Jeff Sheehan, Vice President of the Site Selection Group and Don Williams, President of Alliance DMS.    

Several National ATA members were in attendance as well including Mark Boehmer, VP of 360 CRM and Vice Chair of the National ATA Board of Directors; Lisa Nye Ford, Director of Member Services and Phil Grudzinski, the newly named CEO of the American Teleservices Association.
