Sept. 16, 2011 - PRLog -- Education before entertainment is a pillar that we pride ourselves on. “Behind the Boards” will shed light on artists’, producers’, and songwriters’ career journeys. Everyone has a story that is seldom shared, but could inspire others or create a shift in another persons’ journey to success.  Now you have an opportunity to listen while others share their knowledge on topics such as, equipment preferences,  importance on how to build and nourish relationships, how to start the creative process of making a hit record, and so on. You will also be able to participate in a question and answer discussion with the panelist. The more we educate inspiring artists’, producers’, and songwriters’ through other people experiences, the closer we become as a music industry community. This month, “Behind the Boards” will feature producer Shama “Sak Pase” Joseph.

In just a few years producer, Sak Pase, has risen to the title of one of Atlanta’s most wanted producers. The Floridian, who now resides in Atlanta, is part of a production duo called The Jugganauts, alongside his close friend, recording artist Maurice “Verse” Simmonds. They work collectively to produce great music for not only “Verse”, but have established two placements on Jay-Z and Kanye West album, “Watch the Throne”. Sak Pase is also responsible for producing a top-charting record for Barbadian- born recording artist Rihanna, titled “Man Down”. This is definitely just the beginning for Sak Pase. “Make great music, as long as you have a great product, put God first. Make sure you are aligned with the one who gave you talent; it comes a lot easier. It takes a lot of faith in the music industry” ~Sak Pase.

Byron Wright, Director at Broadcast Music, Inc. (BMI), will be moderating the panel. BMI is a performing rights organization that helps and secures artists’ and producers’ payment when their music is played at different mediums; including but not limited to, radio, television and film, nightclubs, and video games. Recently, Mr. Wright was awarded the Power 30 Under 30 Award for all of his accomplishments. With great honor and pride we are happy to announce this feature at our fourth anniversary.

Tuesday, September 27, 2011 at 8pm at Touch Lounge (1599 Memorial Drive, Atlanta, GA 30317) join us in celebrating the creators of music, four years of business, and four years of being Atlanta’s #1 networking event for producers and songwriters!
