Dictyon Language Services GSA Catalog Now Published Online

The GSA contract (GS-10F-0348) duration is from June 28, 2011 to June 27, 2016 and covers language and cultural training as well as translations for languages including Spanish, Arabic, Mandarin, French, German, and many more. These services are available to Federal, state, and local government organizations.

In addition to simply teaching the words and grammar of languages, Dictyon also offers cultural training to provide a deeper understanding and allow for better integration into the community being studied. Included in this is analysis of different dialects, colloquial word usage, slang terms, and more. Instructors are required to have a native knowledge of the language as well as near-native understanding of English to allow them to accurately convey concepts to students, and they’re trained in Government-approved testing as well as ILR scale testing . Language classes are held in two Washington DC area locations: the headquarters in Greenbelt, MD and a new location in Arlington, VA.

Dictyon translators are held to a similarly high standard as our instructors. All translators are native speakers and must have at least a BA/BS or diploma in translating, in addition to at least two years of experience with translations or another language-related service. Furthermore, all translations are subject to multiple quality control processes including back-translations, in-country reviews, and independent checks.
