London is the Best City according To Condé Nast Traveller Readers

Sept. 16, 2011 - PRLog -- The Condé Nast Traveller Readers' Awards 2011 has been announced. British capital won the accolade of the best city in the UK; London beat its dozens of mighty rivals such as Manchester, Liverpool and Edinburgh comfortably.

Liverpool has been chosen as the friendliest city, top-ranked for the class of hospitality and the best value for money it provides. York and Bath have been chosen as the cleanest cities whilst Edinburgh has been ranked high for its culture. With its dreaming spires, Oxford has succeeded to win the crown of the most beautiful city in the UK, rated highly for aesthetics/architecture.

London's business hotels have dominated in the list of the Best UK Business Hotels, as 14 of the 15 places were occupied by London properties. Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park hotel was at the top of the list, the InterContinental London Park Lane was at the second spot followed by The Dorchester.

A leading luxury travel magazine, Condé Nast Traveller has asked its readers to rate their ultimate travel experiences across the globe, from corporate hotels to luxury spas, special tour operators to airlines. Their responses were collected and analysed by an independent market research company.

London is one of the high-status cities, not only in the UK but also in the whole world and there's no wonder if it has been crowned as the UK's best city. With its endless variety of exclusive entertainment, nightlife, restaurants, royal parks, museums, galleries and theatres, London is the best fit for the award. The capital is also ahead in the competition for its wealth of high-quality accommodation.
