For the first time in 20 years, not one but two Grand Prix were awarded at the Award Ceremony of the jubilee edition of AutoVision held at the Congress Center at the International Motorshow (IAA) in Frankfurt/Main, Germany. All winners to this special edition are available on www.auto-vision.org.
Out of 279 entries, 71 films and multimedia productions were presented with the prestigious OttoCar trophies in Gold, Silver and Black. Among the international winners there are Volvo, Seat, BMW, Porsche, Audi, Daimler, Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen, Michelin, Renault , Allianz, Palm + Havas (Canada), Publicis Conseil (France) Leagas Delaney (Czech Republic) Bandito Brothers (USA), Wieden+Kennedy/
The spotlight of this year’s jubilee edition was focused on the two Grand Prix winners: the creative and innovative product presentation “Package Tracking“ of Daimler together with their agency Jung von Matt/Spree and their producer Markenfilm Crossing was presented with the Grand Prix for the classical linear audio-visual communication.

Even if the aftermath of the crises is still felt, especially because the corporate films are not produced from one day to another, the optimism is back in the audiovisual communication for the automotive industry. As observed by the AutoVision Jury members the trend will shift from complexity to simpler structures as consumers are not inclined to deal with circumstantial information anymore. Also the careful use of animation has been very much refined over the past years and thus is being used on a very high level to enhance real pictures.
"We are happy that our Award has survived all the difficulties that we have encountered in the last 20 years. Many changes have occurred in this time and AutoVision tried to be on the pulse of time by reacting towards the latest trends and adapting categories and prizes. We’ve noticed the growing importance and vast potential of online media and therefore we introduced this year an additional Grand Prix, especially for the Interactive/
