She was the first director of Women's Athletics at Colorado State University where she was the first to award athletic scholarships to women. Ms. Hill became nationally known when she won a Title IX suit against Colorado State University over sex discrimination in athletics. The men's athletics budget was $3 million while the budget for women's athletics was only $5,500. That landmark case changed the sports landscape for women in the United States.
