Rachael Narel and Deanna Keane will discuss how optimizing financial reconciliation and meeting reporting objectives are critical in today’s banking environments. Attendees will learn  more about the reconciliation trends and how M&T Bank has implemented automated controls and reconciliations in the Central Branch Operations area allowing them to significantly reduce risk, lower costs, increase operational efficiency, and improve resource productivity.

Deanna M. Keane is a Vice President in Central Operations/Deposit Product Division of Manufacturers and Traders Trust Company (M&T Bank), headquartered in Buffalo, N.Y.  She has 15 years of progressive management and process improvement experience specifically in account reconciliations and internal controls.  Recently Deanna has led implementation initiatives to automate the Centralized Branch Operations and Item Processing Reconciliation units achieving cost reductions of 15-30% in both units.
Deanna has held positions in Finance and Operations involved in the integration of all 14 major bank acquisitions completed by the company since 1996.  She has implemented countless cost cutting measures and streamlined operational processes with bottom line value in excess of $2.5 million.  Deanna successfully lead operational efforts during the bank’s outsourcing of Official Check Processing ultimately responsible to ensure appropriate reconciliation and control monitoring of third party vendor processing. Her leadership resulted in no disruptions or audit recommendations filed upon conclusion of this implementation.

Rachael Narel, CISA is the Company Unit Leader of Market Development at Infogix, a software company whose solutions monitors, detect and prevent information errors. Rachael joined Infogix in 1999. Rachael supports the unit focused on company and solution awareness, public and analyst relations, thought leadership, and customer events and education. Additionally she works closely with customers and team members for the Enterprise Reconciliation solution. Rachael earned a Bachelors of Science degree from Saint Xavier University and her Masters of Science in Management and Organizational Behavior from Benedictine University.
