Veeam Strengthens Leadership in Canada with Appointment of Regional Sales Director

Vanderwal will use his extensive management experience and leadership skills to drive continued revenue growth and oversee sales and partner programmes in the region.

Vanderwal joins Veeam with more than 15 years of experience developing and implementing sales initiatives.  Most recently, he served as vice president of worldwide sales at BridgeWays, where he led a global sales team and developed a go-to-market strategy that helped BridgeWays grow from a startup company to an industry contender. Prior to BridgeWays, he spent five years at N-able Technologies as regional sales manager. During his tenure, the company grew from 20 to 150 employees, generated impressive revenue growth, and was named to Deloitte & Touche’s “Fast 50” companies for Canada. Vanderwal also held senior sales positions at Jetform Corporation and Danka Services International, where he honed his sales and management skills and led global account teams.

Veeam launched a sales programme in Canada in 2009, hired a bilingual staff, and opened an office in Toronto, Ontario, in April 2010. Since 2009, Veeam has achieved significant growth in the region, developed a comprehensive understanding of the Canadian market, and now works with more than 320 resellers and nearly 1,000 customers. Quarterly orders have increased by more than 300 percent since 2009, with a quarterly revenue growth of more than 230 percent. Worldwide, the total number of Veeam customers now exceeds 30,000. More than 25,000 customers use Veeam’s award-winning Backup & Replication™ to protect their mission-critical virtual machines.
