An error has occured. Press and hold the POWER button to turn the system off --R4i Gold 3DS

Sept. 15, 2011 - PRLog -- If you set up the R4i Gold 3DS card on a Nintendo DSi/ 3DS, it shows up: An error has occured. Press and hold the POWER button to turn the system off. Please refer to the Nintendo Dsi Operations manual for details.
This is due to the wrong firmware install in the card, or the R4i Gold 3DS has not been installed with the latest firmware fix for the DSi or 3DS.

Please note that as the R4i Gold 3DS is blocked by the DSi or 3DS, the installation of the latest firmware fix requires a DS Lite or a DSi with firmware lower than 1.4.2

Some one may doubt on how to check the firmware version, here's the guide on how to check firmware:
1. Click SETTING (with the Tool Icon) on the Main menu
2. Check the right hand corner of the top screen, it will show  VER 1.X

Afer check what version of your machine,
Here comes to the detail set up guide:

■● Firmware Fix for 3DS v1.4.3●■

★What do you need: ★

You need a DSi / DSi XL with firmware lower than 1.4.3 or a DS Lite to upgrade the R4i SDHC Gold (r4i-gold.eu) card to be compatible with DSi 1.4.3.

Make sure NDS was fully charged, better with external power pluged.

1， Plug your DS console to the wall to make sure that the DS console power supply will  not be interrupted during the firmware upgrade process.
2，Download the official driver (R4i-3DS V1.53b English )and firmware (fwup143b).
3，Unzip the files downloaded (using Winrar) on your PC.
     a)  Winrar can be downloaded from www.download.com by searching for Winrar at  the Search.
     b)Unzip the files mentioned under the Software Preparation above, you will get:
      R4i-3DS V1.53b English           ↓                     fwup143b
      homebrew                                    ↓                     fwup143b.nds
      R4iMenu                                        ↓                      readme.txt
      moonshl2
      moonmemo
      r4.DAT
4, Now copy the all the above eight files to the root folder of the Micro SD /SDHC memory card.
5,   Insert MicroSD card into R4i Gold 3DS card, insert R4i Gold 3DS card into DS Lite / DSi /DSi XL.
6,   Turn on console and press "A" button to run the upgrade file fwup143b.nds.
7,   press A to start upgate
8,   The r4i gold 3ds card is upgrading right now. Please leave the console alone in a flat place until the upgrade is done

☆Note:☆
When upgrading the r4i-gold 3DS card, it is not allowed to turn off power or pull out r4i- gold 3DS card,otherwise it will damage the r4i-gold 3DS card.
9， upgrade 100% Congratulation! Restart your DS now.  
10, The icon on the main menu has been changed The icon means you have upgraded the R4i Gold 3DS Firmware successfully.

R4i Gold Card  Setup Guide

1）Unzip the file downloaded (using Winrar) on your PC
     a) Winrar can be downloaded from www.download.com by searching for Winrar at the Search.
     b) Unzip the files mentioned under the Software Preparation above, you will have ：
   R4i-3DS V1.53b English  
       homebrew
       moonmemo  
       moonshl2
       R4iMenu
       R4.dat    
2) Select all the above five unzipped files and copy them to the microSD memory card  
3) Copy your own files, including music, movies, pictures and other data to the Micro SD/SDHC memory card.
4) Plug in the Micro SD/SDHC to the R4i Gold. Insert the R4i Gold with the microSD into the slot 1 of the DS console. Turn on the DS console.
5) You will see the WARNING – HEALTH AND SAFETY message. Touch the touch screen or press button A to continue.
6) For DSi or DSi XL, you will see the following icon with the name Disney / Pixar Finding Nemo Escape to the Big Blue THQ. Please touch the icon or press button A to continue.
7) Wait for the R4i Gold to load.
8) congratulation if you have come this far as you have successfully set up your R4i Gold. There you go. Enjoy your DS with the multimedia functions.
