Who Is The Riverside County Black Chamber of Commerce?

Sept. 14, 2011 - PRLog -- In March the Chamber vowed to visit 26 cities in 26 days and was extremely successful! Several workshops have been offered such as Business Development, Minority & Small Business Certification they even teamed up with Santa Monica College to offer Green Energy Training forwarding the opportunity for small businesses to be Green Certified.

August 4, 2011 the Riverside County Black Chamber of Commerce was a key player
of the Inland Empire 2nd Annual Multi-Cultural Biz Fest with special guests Bob Buster, Riverside County Chairman of the Board of Supervisors, Jose Alfredo Graca Lima, Brazilian Consul, Hector Barreto, Chairman of the Latino Coalition & U.S. Chamber of Commerce and Joel Ayala Economic Development for the Governor’s office and Tom Freeman from the Riverside County Office of Foreign Trade.

The organizations mission is to Empower, Innovate and Sustain Business for all African American and Minority Entrepreneurs and Small Business Owners.

With this in mind they have collaborated with the California Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and the Greater Corona Hispanic Chamber of Commerce on this year’s 2011 Business Explosion to be held September 15-16, 2011.  http://www.riversidecountybcc.org/expo#!__expo


The event will highlight a special “True Collaboration” award during the VIP Luncheon. We encourage you to participate as partial proceeds will benefit The Arthritis Foundation, American Heart Association, F.I.A.T.M Group and Locks of Love.

President Christy Lancaster takes a Pro-Business approach versus a Pro-Black approach and has passionately stated “I will not give up on the business community! I believe all minorities have obstacles but it is important that we gain training and wisdom from mentors to overcome those obstacles”. “I also believe there is a need to work with ALL minorities and understand our obstacles are all too similar”

The Chamber currently has over 80 members in less than six (6) months.
