The community will feature a living area designed to care for the needs of residents requiring a short-term rehabilitation stay and contain a separate living area designed to meet the needs of traditional, long-term care geriatric residents. “We are very pleased to have the opportunity to provide high quality care in a state-of- the-art facility in West Bloomfield,” The 71,000 sq. ft. facility also will feature a library, recreational area, lounge, an indoor therapy pool, a full service spa and salon, and manicured interior and exterior outdoor courtyards. Several dining venues and options will cater to the various needs of the residents, including 24-hour room service and a kosher menu created by an executive chef that will be on staff. “We look forward to Ciena’s Notting Hill of West Bloomfield becoming a part of our community,” said Michele Economou Ureste, Township Supervisor, West Bloomfield Township. “Providing high quality care for both short- and long-term residents is a great asset to West Bloomfield, along with employment opportunities with a stable, Michigan-based company.” Ciena Healthcare has donated 2.2 acres of land containing wetlands/woodlands to the West Bloomfield Township Sports Park adjacent to the Notting Hill of West Bloomfield site so it may remain preserved, and is committed to creating new wetlands. The land will allow for the construction of an overlook approximately 100 ft. into the wetlands and connect into the existing sports park path system for area residents to enjoy. “Ciena Healthcare is very proud to donate this land to the residents of West Bloomfield, and allow this nature area to remain in tact,” added Qazi. “This will provide a tremendous learning source for all in West Bloomfield and keep a pristine area beautiful for generations to come.” About Ciena Healthcare The Ciena Healthcare organization is comprised of 32 skilled nursing communities located in Michigan and four communities located in Connecticut, managed by Regency Healthcare Management, LLC.
