The first monthly contest will begin September 19th, 2011 and run until October 19th 2011.
Sanderson believes that, "Because of the recession there are are a growing number of women shoppers at boutiques such as Le Thrift who are looking for an upscale look that doesn't break the wallet. This contest is to give women who are fashionably thrifty the opportunity to show the world they dress smart and look great on a limited budget."
The contest is for women over age 18 who are thrifty, but want to dress for business and social success. Sanderson says, "I want everyone everywhere to see that women can create a unique look for themselves at an attainable price and feel great with their purchases they make.”
This contest recognizes the ability of female contestants to be able to pull together an outfit on small budget.

The pictures can be shot in an informal way and the items people wear can be anything from vintage, thrift, consignment, clearance from a major retailer or a discount retailer. The more creative the better.
Three Semi-finalists will be the top three entries who receive the most likes on the LeThrift Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/
The winner of the monthly competition will receive a $50 gift certificate and will be entered into the Le Thrift Dress Smart – Look of the Year Contest.
The winner of the Le Thrift Dress Smart – Look of the Year Contest will receive a grand prize of $200, a featured stylist article on http://www.LeThrift.com and to be interviewed on the Le Thriftonista blog – http://www.lethrift.blogspot.com.
