Four Green Fields Presents a Halfway to St. Patrick's Day Adventure Race in Tampa

Sept. 13, 2011 - PRLog -- Four Green Fields Irish Pub presents an off-beat bike race made up of obstacle-dodging, scavenger-hunting and road-racing events in celebration of the halfway point to St. Patrick’s Day. The brand new adventure race hits the streets of Tampa on Saturday, Sept. 17.

The Irish Scramble is designed for participants of all skill levels. From the casual biker to the commuter to the triathlete; everyone can participate in this race. Racers begin on their bikes for the first half of the competition solving clues then dismount to complete obstacles on foot, and then jump back on their bikes to finish the race. Top prizes include $300 cash and raffle prizes. All participants will receive t-shirts and will enjoy a complimentary authentic Irish buffet with live after-party entertainment.

Participants will compete in teams of two or three to post the fastest time in completing the checkpoints and earn top prizes. Check-in will begin on Sept. 17 at 3 p.m. at Four Green Fields at 205 W. Platt St. Online registration is available at www.irishscramble.com.

Four Green Fields presents the Irish Scramble in conjunction with the production team from the Urban Bike Adventure. The Urban Bike Adventure tour is a race of similar style and its stops include ten major cities throughout the country, including Minneapolis, Pittsburgh, Indianapolis, Baltimore, Washington, D.C., Tampa and Miami. The Tampa race is on Saturday, Oct. 29.
