Sept. 13, 2011 - PRLog -- Saving thousands of dollars, the Birch Bay Lions have renewed the Blaine Air Force Station single officers quarters using reclaimed paint. The paint was collected from the  Bellingham Toxic Disposal Facility.  The facility collects waste paint, oils and other liquids and recylces usable produsts back to the community

The 80 plus gallons paint refreshed walls and furniture and gave the outside a new look.  Artists found interesting colors at the facility and created murals, painted furniture and original art work.

The Lions also collected glues, wall filler and cleaners from the Disposal Facility allowing precious fund raising dollars to be used to serve the community.
